It has been a busy time since I released my book and added this website. This summer especially I have been driving all over the country, attending conferences and fulfilling invitations to speak there about my book and more recent experiences.
I attended the USPA(US Psychotronics Association) Conference in the Chicago area in July. This organization has been around for decades and Dr. Puharich spoke at many of their conferences. My favorite video of him on the site was his last, in 1990. I was warmly welcomed and given a standing ovation after my talk, which was of course, very touching. Especially as it was my first live public talk, not counting my Jeffrey Mishlove/New Thinking Allowed, Youtube interviews over a year and a half ago. All conference videos are available through their website, but there is a fee to view.
I then zoomed down to Charlottesville, VA to the first ever, PSIGAMES Conference the weekend of August 1st.. This was created as basically a “Psychic Olympics,” with a range of metaphysical skill games, including telekinesis, dowsing, remote viewing, plus a range of terrific panel speakers. The idea was to expand the normalization of intuitive abilities to the general public as well as current fans.. There were even fun games designed for children ages 6 to 14. It was extraordinary, wholesome, unique and so much fun. In addition I got to reconnect with Jeffrey Mishlove, Paul Smith and Pam Coronado among other panel experts. Plus met several old Monroe buddies and made new friends too. This program was partially funded by Monroe Institute, and will be held in Charlotte, NC next year. Already bought my tickets!
A FUN NOTE: This was sold out, and I lamented on FB not being able to go. The next morning, Thursday, the day before the Friday conference start, a woman piped up that she had a ticket, but could no longer go because of family, illness, etc. She said the tickets were nonrefundable, but were TRANSFERABLE! Long story short, we checked each other out, and she ended up transferring her ticket to me via email around 2pm on Thursday. I wrote her a check, packed up the car, and took off! Mailing her check and a copy of my book at the post office on the way! About 6:30 pm I arrived, got a hotel room in Charlottesville and the next morning joyfully attended the PSIGAMES after all! It all just lined up, meant to be! Just love that positive synchronicity…
In Mid-September I drove to Harrodsburg, KY to attend/speak at the L/L Research Home Coming. The L/L research website is a magnificent world unto itself with deep, meaningful spiritual experiences detailed beautifully, plus many wonderful interviews. Dr. Puharich is mentioned prominently, over many years of interactions. It was founded by the late Carla Ruerkert, who channeled the “RA’, and the late Don Elkins, a professional pilot with a thorough UFO investigation background. Both intuitives, they were very important contributors at the “Mind Llink” at Dr. Andrija Puharich’s home/lab in 1977, that I helped at and participated in.. I was also with Carla in Mexico City in 1978 when she received a successful kidney transplant through the Psychic Surgeon, “Pachita.” I mention all in my book, but an entire podcast was done with Jeffrey Mishlove about Patchita, on NTA Youtube, and the link to watch it is on this website.
The conference was held outside on a large farm that had been converted to a conference/wedding venue. It had a large covered pavilion, for group events, plus other smaller barns and structures for breakout sessions with various speakers. It was there I met Jim McCarty, Carla’s husband. I had brought prints of photos from the Mind Link, 47 years ago, that most there had never seen. I was honored to present Jim with an especially lovely portrait of Carla from the link, in a 5 by 7 inch frame. It was a new pic for him, and we had a wonderful close moment together as he gazed lovingly at her sweet smile. So nice to remember/speak about the more enjoyable aspects and events of those days with Don and Carla. Especially since Don passed in 1984 and Carla 10 years ago now. Once again a standing ovation for my talk, with happy tears emerging briefly after, for me.
After meeting a new friend I made at the USPA Conference and touring the famous “Serpent Mound” metaphysical site in southern Ohio, I returned to KY and spent a couple of days at Jim’s house at his invitation. This was were he lived with Carla in later years and where she finally passed. The large, beautiful older farmhouse holds a magnificent, huge library of all kinds of metaphysical and spiritually based books, and research papers. Over 2,000 of them. Jim still does audiobook recordings and transcripts of various channeling sessions done over decades with Carla, plus other important scientists. It had a wonderful, cozy, museum-like quality about it, with incredible flowers and other beautiful plantings in the expansive yard surrounding it. All the previous Homecomings had been held in and on this property.
Jim and I meditated together, forging our own wonderful new friendship, and I was so grateful to be invited to sit in the chair that Don had always used for their sessions. I had a unprecedented visual experience of Don’s spirit appearing closely during this that I will forever cherish. It gave me the chance to consciously thank him, in his energetic body, for literally saving my life from the fire in 1978.
